Our story
Casa Viva began when I married my Southern bride. We quickly discovered how different our worlds could be—two cultures, two languages, two histories, and two ways of seeing life. When our children came along, those differences became part of their story, too. We didn’t want them to feel like they had to choose between their heritages. My wife and I wanted to build a home where the best of both worlds could flourish together.
As I looked at the church around us, I saw similar lines being drawn: Spanish or English, young or old, passionate worship or deep biblical teaching. But God showed us in our own home that difference doesn’t have to mean division. I began dreaming of a church family that brought those worlds together under one roof—a place where both Spanish and English speakers feel at home, where multi-generational community thrives, and where vibrant, passionate worship meets deep, orderly, and applicable biblical teaching.
After sharing this dream with family and receiving the blessing of our home church, 27 of us gathered at Marshall Park to pray and prepare. On January 15th, 2023, Casa Viva officially opened its doors. We built this house so you would never have to choose between cultures, generations, or deep faith. So as we say here, "Bienvenidos home"
